Traffic Safety
Please follow these directions to insure the safety of our families at drop-off and pick-up times.
- Student drop-off: white zones only.
- No student drop-off on Gloria Lake; only arrival/departure of buses.
- The school parking lot is for staff parking only: there is no student drop-off or pick-up in this lot.
Please review the following parking rules from the San Diego Police Department as they apply directly to moving and parking violations in and around schools.
- Crosswalk
- Enforcement: The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection.
- Double Parking
- Enforcement:
No person shall bring a vehicle to a complete stop upon a highway as to impede or block the normal and reasonable movement of traffic unless the stop is necessary for the safe operation or in compliance with the law. *Do not stop in the road to drop off or pick up passengers.
- "No Parking" Sign
- Enforcement:
No person shall stop or park any vehicle whether attended or unattended, in violation of any posted signs or painted curbs.
- Curb Marking/Passenger Loading Zone
- Definition: A white curb indicates loading or unloading of passengers for a time specified.
Enforcement: In passenger loading zones "white curbs" drivers must remain with their vehicles.
