Heroes Wanted
Everyone A Reader
Research shows that reading to children 15 minutes a day makes a huge impact on their educational development. Why not take a few minutes and help other children at Benchley-Weinberger? You can be a hero in a child's eyes as they finally "get it" and begin a lifelong love of reading.
With a brief training video and as little as an hour or two per month of one-on-one interaction, you'll help be responsible for the outstanding academic standards and test scores achieved at the school. The Everyone A Reader program helps in many ways: a struggling reader succeeds, a teacher makes progress with the curriculum, and the school maintains funding through high test scores.
Parents, grandparents, neighbors, aspiring teachers, and concerned citizens all may participate in this program.
