Book Borrowing Policy
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Your child is allowed to borrow books from the Benchley-Weinberger school library for a period of two weeks.
Please help your child find a special place to keep the books so that they can be found easily and returned. Encourage your child to read by reading with your child and providing a TV/computer free period in your home. Talk about books that you are reading with your child.
Use of school library books requires the following:
- Return books on time.
- Make sure that your child's hands are clean before reading library books.
- Keep books away from food, drink, pets, and younger siblings.
- Use bookmarks or a piece of paper to mark the page.
- If damage to the book occurs, do not attempt to repair it. Please bring it back to the school library as soon as possible. Please remember that you, as the parent/guardian, are responsible for lost or damaged books.
